What PII do we collect from users that visit our blog, website or app?
CiO provides free information about auto repairs to a user of the website. No PII is required to access the free information provided by carinorder.com. Therefore, in the normal user experience of the website we do not collect or store PII from users of our website.
When do we collect PII?
We collect PII from you only when you explicitly enter or send PII to our site. For example, if you send an email to email@example.com, PII may be collected.
When you view our site, our servers automatically record certain information that your web browser sends whenever you visit any website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, search query, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information. Since CiO does not collect PII during a normal user visit, this information will not be linked to any PII.
How do we use your PII?
We may use your email address to send you messages and updates, including special offers or promotions. If you do not want to receive such email messages, you may opt out by sending an email message to firstname.lastname@example.org with the word "No email" in the subject field. Opting out may prevent you from receiving email messages regarding technical support, updates, improvements, or offers. CiO may use certain information about you without identifying you as an individual to third parties. We do this for purposes such as diagnosing service or technical problems, maintaining security, and personalizing advertisements and promotions.
How do we protect your PII?
Our main safeguard is that we collect as little PII about you as possible, as described in the sections entitled “What PII do we collect from users that visit our blog, website or app?” and “When do we collect PII?”.
With that stated, for any PII collected, CiO uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your PII. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any PII you transmit to CiO and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission of PII, CiO makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of our systems. However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such PII may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
